The Japan Financial Services Agency has published a recruitment notice for a few fixed-term positions at assistant section manager level for certified public accountants to work on corporate accounting, audits by certified public accountants, and corporate disclosure. The role covers preparation for international conferences and related meeting support, including accompanying meetings and drafting reports, as well as reviewing corporate disclosure and audit-related topics by investigating relevant internal and external systems, standards and practices, including electronic disclosure, and preparing materials. Applicants must hold certified public accountant qualifications and have substantial knowledge and experience in corporate accounting and auditing through research and professional work, with English proficiency desirable. Appointments are expected to be full-time national civil servant roles under Japan’s Fixed-term Employee Act, with an employment period in principle of around one to two years and standard working hours of 9:30 to 18:15 on weekdays.
