Moldovan Finance Minister Victoria Belous called for sustained, predictable and flexible international financial support for Ukraine at the 10th ministerial meeting on support for the country, held in Bangkok alongside the World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund annual meetings. She emphasized the role of both institutions in supporting Ukraine’s macroeconomic stability, strengthening its institutions and mobilizing resources for recovery and reconstruction. Belous linked Ukraine’s stability and economic recovery to Moldova’s economic prospects, regional trade and investment, and both countries’ European paths. She also highlighted Moldova’s continued support for solidarity routes, regional connectivity and infrastructure links that facilitate goods transport and economic activity amid the war’s regional effects.
