The phishing email originates from “info@manuiife-hk[.]site” and directs recipients to a fraudulent site using the domain “manuiife-hk[.]site”. Manulife has confirmed it has no connection with the email or the website. The authority advises anyone who has provided information or carried out insurance transactions via the email or website to contact Manulife and report the matter to the Hong Kong Police Force, and notes that the Register of Authorized Insurers on the Insurance Authority’s website provides the official list and contact details of authorised insurers.
