The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has welcomed the Financial Secretary’s appointment of Mr Tony Tang Xiaodong and the re-appointment of Mr Michael Wong Yick Kam as Non-Executive Directors for two-year terms. The SFC highlighted Tang’s global financial services experience and expertise in international capital markets regulation as supporting the board’s strategy formulation and policy setting, and said it will continue to benefit from Wong’s advice. The SFC also thanked outgoing Non-Executive Director Mr Nicky Lo for his service. Tang’s term begins on 24 April 2025, Wong’s renewed term begins on 1 April 2025, and Lo’s term ends on 23 April 2025.
