General insurance companies reported 321 claims in total, comprising 215 claims for home damage, 76 for vehicle damage, and 30 for other property damage. Of these, 317 related to the disaster-area regions (Ñuble and Biobío), with four claims filed in the O'Higgins and Maule Regions; reported amounts for the period totalled CLP 104,464,000. Life insurers reported four claims, all in the Biobío Region, which were still being processed. The CMF instructed insurers to take necessary measures to support affected policyholders in reporting and settling claims and to maintain adequate service where branches cannot operate.
