The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority has released its response to submissions and final prudential standards remaking three Level 3 conglomerate prudential standards before their scheduled sunset on 1 October 2026. The remake covers 3PS 221 Aggregate Risk Exposures, 3PS 222 Intra-group Transactions and Exposures, and 3PS 310 Audit and Related Matters. APRA said the changes are administrative only and do not introduce new requirements for Level 3 conglomerate groups. The update follows APRA's earlier consultation on remaking the standards with minor amendments to keep them current and consistent with the broader prudential framework. Alongside the response letter, APRA published the final versions of the three standards and a non-confidential submission.
