The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority announced that its FRA Sandbox signed three strategic cooperation protocols with technology firms Liquid C2, Cyber Force and JRNY during Cairo ICT 2025, aiming to strengthen cyber readiness and cloud capabilities while supporting innovation and startups in the non-banking financial sector. The arrangements focus on collaboration with Liquid C2 (Middle East and North Africa) and Cyber Force on cybersecurity and cloud computing, and with JRNY on innovation and the startup ecosystem. FRA chairman Mohamed Farid linked the partnerships to the authority’s objective of operating a secure testing environment that enables startups to trial digital solutions while safeguarding data and the rights of market participants, and to help the regulator better understand new models when developing more precise and effective regulatory frameworks.
