The Brazilian Pension Funds Authority (PREVIC) participated in meetings of the International Organisation of Pension Supervisors (IOPS) and the Global Forum on Private Pensions in Istanbul on 5–7 November, aimed at supporting Brazil’s representation in international discussions on supplementary pension supervision and enabling exchanges of supervisory experience. PREVIC’s Director for Standards, Alcinei Rodrigues, attended the IOPS Executive Committee meeting, a 15-member body of pension supervisory authorities, which reviewed the IOPS Guidelines for supervisory assessment and the IOPS Principles for the supervision of private pensions, alongside administrative-financial matters and the 2026 work plan. The IOPS Annual General Assembly subsequently refined and approved the documents, while PREVIC also held bilateral meetings with counterparts from China, India, South Africa, Angola and Mozambique. PREVIC remains a member of the IOPS Executive Committee until 2027, when new members are due to be elected under the organisation’s rotation rules.
