The National Bank of Moldova published monetary statistics for June 2026 showing broad month-on-month growth across key aggregates. The monetary base rose 1.7% from May to MDL 85.59 billion, while broad money M3 increased 1.1% to MDL 200.349 billion. Bank deposits reached MDL 147.709 billion, up 1.4%, and claims on the economy totaled MDL 116.937 billion, up 2.5%. Deposit growth was driven by a 1.1% increase in deposits in national currency and a 1.9% rise in foreign-currency deposits. Claims on the economy in national currency increased 1.7%, while foreign-currency claims expressed in MDL rose 4.9%. Measured in EUR, foreign-currency claims on the economy stood at EUR 1.397 billion, up 4.7% from May 2026.
