The Insurance and Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Agency of Türkiye announced that a new arrangement enabling disabled individuals to benefit from discounted compulsory motor third-party liability (traffic) insurance will enter into force on 1 February 2026. From that date, disabled individuals registered in the National Disability Data System will be able to access discounted traffic insurance for one vehicle they own. Under the arrangement, maximum traffic insurance premiums for vehicles of disabled individuals will receive an additional discount of up to 20% on top of existing discounts. The discount rate and amount, identified using the individual’s Turkish ID number, will be shown on the front page of the traffic insurance policy.
