Greece's Ministry of National Economy and Finance has announced the country's participation in the OECD/INFE International Survey of Adult Financial Literacy, Inclusion and Well-Being as part of its National Strategy for Financial Literacy. The survey is being conducted by telephone from July 6 to July 31 and is designed to measure the financial knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviors of people aged 18 to 79 in the current financial environment. The work is being carried out by the ministry's General Secretariat of the Financial Sector and Private Debt Management in cooperation with the Bank of Greece and the Hellenic Capital Market Commission under a memorandum of cooperation. Kapa Research is conducting the survey using an OECD-approved standardized questionnaire. Participation is voluntary, responses are anonymous and will be used only for statistical purposes. The ministry also highlighted that interviewers will not ask for sensitive personal data such as bank passwords, card numbers or taxisnet codes. The results are intended to provide reliable data on households' ability to make financial decisions, manage resources and cope with economic challenges. They will also be used by the relevant authorities to support more targeted financial literacy initiatives.
