The Austrian National Bank (OeNB) has made new appointments to three main divisions, naming Gabriela de Raaij as Director of European Large Banks and IT Supervision, Regina Fuchs as Director of Statistics, and Wolf Heinrich Reuter as Director of Economics. The appointments followed a public tender and an objective selection process supported by an external recruitment consultancy, and were approved by the OeNB General Council at its 23 October 2025 meeting. Petia Niederländer was reappointed as Director of the Payment Systems, Risk Monitoring and Financial Education division and Matthias Schroth was reappointed as Director of the Legal, Cash and Investments division after the regular end of their terms. All personnel decisions were unanimous with no abstentions. De Raaij will take up her role on 1 November 2025, Fuchs on 1 January 2026, and Reuter on 1 February 2026; Reuter will also assume the position of Chief Economist.
