Peru's Superintendence of the Securities Market (SMV) announced a technical assistance agreement under the Works for Taxes framework that will have ProInversión lead the preparatory steps and selection process for a private company to deliver an SMV service-improvement project, including a new institutional headquarters, with estimated investment of PEN 91.6m. The initiative covers construction of an SMV headquarters of more than 15,000 m² in Miraflores in metropolitan Lima, along with equipment, furniture and works supervision. The building is designed to energy-efficiency standards and would include seven above-ground levels with open-plan offices and meeting rooms, a library, dining and service areas, three basement levels for parking and technical rooms, and a semi-basement with reception, multi-use rooms and public service areas. ProInversión will conduct the pre-procurement phase and the process to select the private company under Law No. 29230, making SMV the first entity in Peru’s Economy and Finance sector to apply the Works for Taxes mechanism to modernise its infrastructure.
