At the Challenge of Change conference, Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency Board members assessed the Croatian capital market’s development and outlined priorities for sustaining participation. Deputy President Anamarija Staničić cited stronger economic fundamentals, stable public finances, rising assets under management and renewed issuance and retail investment, while warning that global market cycles remain a risk. She identified lasting public trust and retaining investors through market downturns as central challenges. Board member Jurica Jednačak called for less duplicative reporting, clearer requirements and shorter procedures while retaining information needed for investor protection. He also emphasized deeper European capital market integration, which could widen Croatian companies’ access to investors and expand domestic investors’ options. These themes align with Hanfa’s existing work on market liquidity and regulatory simplification under Croatia’s 2025–2030 capital market strategy. Board member Martina Verić focused on financial and pension literacy, particularly among young people, and encouraged earlier, long-term financial planning. She identified voluntary pension savings as one option for strengthening long-term financial security.
