National Bank of Moldova Governor Anca Dragu took part in the official presentation of the Board Leadership Program International, introduced for the first time in Moldova by Chisinau Business School in partnership with Bucharest Business School and the Association of Independent Directors in Romania, with support from ecoDa. In her remarks, she emphasised corporate governance and the role of professional, independent and accountable boards in strengthening institutional stability and trust in the economy. Dragu described robust corporate governance as a condition for stability for the National Bank of Moldova, citing the banking sector where board quality, decision-making independence, member professionalism and a culture of responsibility can directly affect the soundness of financial institutions. The Board Leadership Program International is designed to build leadership, corporate governance and strategic accountability skills for board members and other senior decision-makers, with a limited intake of 30 participants. The first module is scheduled for May 2026 and will be delivered by Philip Stiles of the University of Cambridge.
