The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, together with the World Bank, held practical training sessions for representatives of the country’s commercial banks on applying Azerbaijan’s green taxonomy. The three-day programme focused on strengthening banks’ sustainability capabilities, improving understanding of taxonomy principles, and supporting their integration into business processes. The sessions covered national and international green taxonomy frameworks and provided information on the Central Bank’s Sustainable Finance Roadmap and key elements related to its implementation. Participants also examined how taxonomy criteria can be applied in real financing decisions.
