Burundi's Ministry of Finance and National Planning published an update on Finance Minister Alain Ndikumana’s remarks at the presentation of the book “Une nation en marche”, where he set out the foundations and strategic scope of Vision Burundi 2040–2060. The vision aims to make Burundi an emerging country by 2040 and a developed country by 2060, and was presented as the structuring reference framework for the state’s policy action. The minister recalled the five pillars underpinning the vision as a coherent guide for public policies, closely linked to the country programme for macroeconomic stabilisation. He framed delivery as dependent on broad ownership across public institutions and economic and social stakeholders, underpinned by strong partnerships, consistent public action and discipline in implementing reforms.
