The Central Bank of the Bahamas announced an upcoming Financial Literacy Student Seminar on 20 April 2026 (9:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.) at the Baha Mar Convention Centre, as part of its Financial Literacy Month activities under the theme “Finance Forward: Smart Money Moves Start Now”. The event is aimed at students in grades 10 to 12 and is structured around interactive financial education. Planned sessions include the role of the Central Bank, Bahamian notes, coins and digital currency, cyber safety, building a small business, and investing basics. Independent and Government high schools across The Bahamas can nominate up to 30 students per school, with two to three accompanying teachers or school representatives, and students are encouraged to bring mobile devices or tablets; the seminar will also be live-streamed for students on the Family Islands who cannot attend in person. Schools must confirm participation by 8 April 2026, and submissions from parents or guardians will not be considered.
