The Central Bank of West African States published a communiqué from an extraordinary session of the West African Economic and Monetary Union Council of Ministers confirming the unanimous appointment of Kossi Tenou as President of the Financial Markets Authority of the West African Monetary Union (AMF-UMOA). The appointment follows the resignation of Badanam Patoki. Tenou’s mandate takes effect from 25 November 2025 and runs for the remainder of his predecessor’s term, which ends on 30 April 2027.
