The Montenegro Capital Market Authority signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Austrian Financial Market Authority, FMA, establishing a framework for closer cooperation and information exchange in financial market supervision. The agreement was concluded during an official visit to Vienna from 12 to 15 January 2026. The memorandum is intended to intensify inter-institutional coordination, support the development of the regulatory framework, and promote more efficient and transparent functioning of Montenegro’s capital market, with particular emphasis on the funds segment. The authority also positioned the MoU as part of its ongoing alignment with European regulatory standards and international cooperation in the context of Montenegro’s European integration process.
