The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority has launched a specialized training program to build the listing readiness of state-owned companies for the Egyptian Exchange. The authority presented it as the first national initiative to support the government's offerings program, with the aim of helping targeted companies complete listing and offering requirements more quickly and maintain compliance after admission to the market. Delivered through the Financial Services Institute and the Egyptian Directors Center, the program targets board chairs and directors, chief executives, chief financial officers, accounts managers, disclosure and investor relations officers, governance and internal audit officers, and other executives responsible for listing and offering files. It is structured as a full simulation journey from temporary listing through the offering stage and ongoing compliance, covering seven integrated areas including the legislative and regulatory framework, listing procedures, financial and accounting readiness, governance, sustainability and disclosure requirements, prospectuses and public offering mechanisms. In remarks at the launch, the authority linked the initiative to progress in the state ownership policy, noting that the State-Owned Enterprises Unit has already secured temporary listings for 20 government companies across different sectors and company sizes.
