The Financial Conduct Authority's board has appointed Dan Lavender as a new member of its Regulatory Decisions Committee, the body that takes certain regulatory decisions on the FCA's behalf in contested enforcement cases. The FCA said the committee is operationally separate from the rest of the regulator and is made up of members drawn from business, consumer and industry backgrounds. RDC Chair Alison Potter said Lavender brings legal and leadership experience in contentious financial services matters, which will complement the existing committee's capabilities.
