The Philippines Insurance Commission, Bureau of the Treasury, Government Service Insurance System, Social Security System, Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation and Land Bank of the Philippines have signed an agreement to establish a shared cyber defense solution for the insurance cluster. The system will strengthen participating agencies’ ability to detect, prevent and respond to cyber incidents through enhanced threat monitoring, security analytics and defensive controls. Land Bank will act as procurement agent and conduct the bidding process. A Joint Technical Working Group will set technical requirements and oversee implementation, while an Interagency Oversight Committee comprising chief information officers and information technology security officials will monitor cyber developments and recommend security measures.
