Islamic Development Bank Group Chairman Muhammad Al Jasser will lead a delegation to the 2026 World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund Annual Meetings in Bangkok from Oct. 12 to 19. Discussions with finance ministers, multilateral development banks and international partners will focus on economic stability, trade resilience, development finance and regional cooperation. Al Jasser will join an Oct. 14 panel on trade diversification and economic transformation in emerging markets and developing economies, particularly Islamic Development Bank member countries. He will also deliver a keynote address on Islamic finance’s role in crisis resilience and transition finance, attend meetings involving regional ministers and governors, and hold bilateral talks with Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Ekniti Nitithanprapas and senior representatives of international development institutions.
