The Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority (TIRA) reported that retired Prime Minister Mizengo Pinda, during a visit to TIRA’s booth at VETA’s 30th anniversary celebrations in Dar es Salaam, urged Tanzanians to use insurance services and products proactively rather than waiting until disasters occur. He also called for expanded insurance education for both urban and rural communities to increase public understanding and uptake, with the aim of protecting health, property and investment. TIRA noted it has been using the event to provide insurance education and collect feedback from visitors, and highlighted its ongoing collaboration with VETA on insurance awareness activities. The celebrations are being held at JNICC in Dar es Salaam from 18 March to 21 March 2025.
