The Hong Kong Insurance Authority (IA) launched a youth campaign for tertiary students in March 2025 combining on-campus outreach and online activities, reaching around 2,000 participants, to strengthen understanding of risk management concepts and the role of insurance in transferring and mitigating lifetime risks. Partnering with the Hong Kong Federation of Insurers and Metro Broadcast, the IA visited three tertiary institutions on 21 and 27 March, where interactive games engaged around 180 students on insurance fundamentals, risk management strategies, and career opportunities in the insurance sector. The programme also included sharing sessions with industry representatives and IA management trainees on the social function of insurance and its contribution to the financial sector, alongside an online personality quiz using life scenarios to introduce risk management messages and features of different insurance products. The IA indicated it will continue working with the industry to expand youth outreach, promote insurance education, and attract talent into the sector.
