The Montenegro Capital Market Authority reported that its president, Željko Drinčić, participated in the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) 50th annual meeting in Doha, Qatar, held from 12 to 15 May 2025. The update highlights engagement across IOSCO committee sessions and technical workshops, including discussions on implementing regulatory frameworks for crypto assets. During the programme Drinčić attended meetings of IOSCO’s European Regional Committee (ERC) and Growth and Emerging Markets Committee (GEMC), as well as the “Implementing Crypto Assets Frameworks” regulatory workshop focused on challenges and good practices in crypto-asset regulation. He also participated in the Multilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MMoU) Monitoring Group meeting, a related signing ceremony, and the IOSCO Presidents Committee, and held bilateral meetings with supervisory authorities from the region and the European Union. On 15 May he attended the Qatar Financial Markets Authority annual conference, which covered digital transformation in capital markets, sustainable finance and investor protection.
