Mexico's National Commission for the Protection and Defense of Users of Financial Services has launched the 16th edition of its insurance diploma, a free, fully online program open to the general public. The course is designed to help participants understand how insurance works, which risks it can cover and what factors to assess before taking out a policy, with the aim of improving comparison and decision-making by financial services users. The program runs for 120 hours and is structured across four modules covering risks and insurance, rules and regulation, types of insurance and how they operate, and strategies for financial protection. It also addresses the technical, legal and commercial foundations of the insurance sector, as well as the structure and operation of insurers and their products. Participants who complete all four modules with a minimum grade of 7 will receive an officially valid diploma. Registration is open from July 13 to July 27, 2026. Participation requires a personal email address and internet access, preferably via computer.
