The Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market of the Republic of Kazakhstan met a delegation from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) led by Vibke Schloemer, IFC Director for Turkey and Central Asia, and signed a letter agreement for advisory services. Under the agreement, IFC will prepare recommendations and participate in consultations with public and private sector stakeholders. The parties also reviewed the current results of bilateral cooperation, including work on introducing ESG standards into Kazakhstan’s financial system, the conversion of microfinance institutions into banks, and support for regulatory drafting.
