The State Bank of Vietnam held the first meeting of the executive board of its Party Committee for the 2020–2025 term, chaired by Governor Nguyen Thi Hong in her capacity as Party Secretary, to consider draft internal governance documents intended to support the bank’s new organisational model. Items discussed included a draft working regulation for the Party Committee executive board, a draft decision establishing Party Committee advisory and support units and defining their functions and tasks, a draft Party Committee work programme, and draft allocations of responsibilities for executive board and standing committee members. The meeting was framed as part of implementing central directives on reorganising the political system’s organisational apparatus, and followed an earlier announcement of decisions establishing the State Bank of Vietnam’s Party Committee and appointing its leadership and inspection bodies. Governor Nguyen Thi Hong instructed the drafting team to incorporate feedback from the meeting, seek additional comments from executive board members, and complete issuance procedures so the documents can be implemented across the Party Committee.
