The Indonesia Financial Services Authority, known as OJK, has launched Pension Fund Month 2026 as a national campaign to increase retirement planning awareness and participation. Pension program providers will conduct more than 104 education, advisory, digital outreach and enrollment activities targeting formal and informal workers, civil servants, military and police personnel, micro, small and medium enterprises, women and younger people. The campaign responds to pension fund literacy of about 22%, compared with national financial literacy of about 69% and financial inclusion of about 93%. OJK called for broader participation and higher retirement income replacement ratios across mandatory programs, public-sector arrangements and voluntary employer and financial institution pension funds, supported by adequate and sustained contributions and prudent investment management. The focus includes informal workers, who account for about 60% of Indonesia’s approximately 155 million labor force.
