The Guernsey Financial Services Commission has announced the production release of its new online Applications and Authorisations Portal, completing the rollout on 8 August 2025 following a beta launch three months earlier. The secure platform is intended to streamline applications and authorisations and make it easier to establish financial services businesses in the Bailiwick. The portal introduces guardrails and conditional logic to improve the quality and completeness of submissions, and supports online collaboration between parties preparing an application as well as post-submission communication with the Commission. The Commission reported that uptake is increasing and that, alongside the production release, it received more submissions through the portal than via traditional channels; the project was delivered by the Commission’s in-house IT team with support from d-fine. The Commission plans to add the remaining application types to the portal shortly and then work with industry towards 100% portal utilisation by the end of the year.
