The National Credit Union Administration published five enforcement actions covering March 20 to May 21, 2026, consisting of one conviction-based prohibition and four consent-based prohibitions. The measures permanently bar the named former credit union employees from participating in the affairs of any federally insured depository institution, including working for one. The conviction-based action covers Alan Kaufman, a former employee of Melrose Credit Union in Briarwood, New York, who was convicted in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York on two counts of receipt of commissions or gifts for procuring loans under 18 U.S.C. ยง 215(a)(2). The consent-based prohibitions were issued to Aaron Steele of The Police Federal Credit Union in San Bruno, California, Marilyn Sullins of Aldersgate Federal Credit Union in Marion, Illinois, Melissa Biscayno of Seattle Metropolitan Credit Union in Seattle, Washington, and Christopher Chelette of Valex Federal Credit Union in Alexandria, Louisiana, each of whom agreed to the order to settle NCUA Board claims.
