The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo published its August 2025 balance sheet, central bank statement and reserve assets statistics. Total assets reached EUR 1.98bn at end-August 2025, up EUR 119.03m from July, while international reserve assets rose to EUR 1.56bn, an increase of EUR 102.35m. The asset increase was driven mainly by higher deposits from the Budget of the Republic of Kosovo (Treasury account), commercial banks, the Kosovo Privatization Agency and pension funds. Investments abroad in deposits and securities stood at EUR 1.46bn as of 31 August 2025, up EUR 72.09m month on month, comprising a EUR 62.22m increase in deposits and a EUR 9.87m increase in securities. Deposits held at the central bank totalled EUR 1.69bn (up EUR 118.73m), including EUR 682.02m from the budget, EUR 671.56m from commercial banks, EUR 188.62m from the Kosovo Privatization Agency and EUR 152.28m from other sources; central bank capital was EUR 120.97m.
