The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) has issued an order refusing to renew the life insurance and accident and sickness insurance agent licence held by Rajesh Narayanan Ramdass Raja. FSRA found Ramdass Raja not suitable to be licensed under Ontario’s Insurance Act and related regulations, citing repeated submissions of applications containing false or misleading information and permitting others to use his agent code to submit fraudulent business on his behalf, contrary to section 17(c) of Ontario Regulation 347/04. The order was issued following a settlement with Ramdass Raja.
