The Central Bank of Russia reported that price growth slowed from June in almost two-thirds of Russian regions in July, largely reflecting seasonal food price movements and one-off factors in services. Fuel market disruptions affected regional price dynamics unevenly. Fruit and vegetable prices declined by less than is typical for July, while sugar and meat products recorded notable increases. Domestic tourism, dairy products, clothing and footwear became cheaper, but petrol and diesel prices continued to rise rapidly amid supply disruptions. Growth in medical and personal service prices also remained high because of the tight labor market.
