The Central Bank of Comoros absorbed KMF 8 billion from the money market through a competitive auction of term deposits, effective Sept. 18, as part of its monetary policy operations. The bank received two bids from two institutions totaling KMF 8 billion, well below the KMF 15 billion absorption ceiling, and accepted the full amount. The accepted bids carried a weighted average rate of 1.96% and a marginal rate of 2.00%.
