The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority’s Establishment and Licensing Committee approved the establishment and licensing of six entities to undertake non-banking financial activities under the FRA’s supervision, covering securities-related corporate formation and capital increases, insurance brokerage, bond dealing and brokerage, and the promotion and underwriting of securities. The approvals cover Olive Egypt Holding, Taqa Financial Investments and Fawry Holding for Financial Investments to participate in establishing companies that issue securities or in increasing their capital. Tharaa was licensed for insurance brokerage, Beltone Securities Trading for dealing, intermediation and brokerage in bonds, and Emirates NBD Bank for promoting and underwriting securities subscriptions. The release also notes that the committee, established under the FRA Chairman’s Decision No. 3060 of 2023, is the body responsible for approving the establishment and licensing of companies supervised by the FRA and handling related corporate approvals.
