The Central Bank of Chile has published the minutes of its Council sessions held in 2004 under its voluntary policy for disclosing historical minutes of the former Board, former Executive Committee and the Institute’s Council. The release marks the transition from a one-off historical publication project to an ongoing disclosure process based on a 20-year age criterion. The newly disclosed 2004 archive comprises 68 documents available through the Bank’s digital repository. With this publication, the Bank concludes a six-year effort that previously made available minutes from 1925 to 2003, bringing the total number of published minutes to 4,568. Going forward, the Bank will continue publishing minutes on a rolling basis in line with the 20-year disclosure threshold set out in the policy approved in September 2019.
