Indonesia's Ministry of Finance inaugurated 27 Pratama high leadership officials across the ministry, with the Minister of Finance positioning the appointments as a public trust and directing the new leadership to prioritise serious work and integrity. The appointees include 22 officials in the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, three in the Directorate General of Treasury, one in the Directorate General of State Assets, and one in the Directorate General of Financial Sector Stability and Development. The minister linked the leadership mandate to delivering effective fiscal policy to support domestic demand and singled out smuggling and illegal imports as drivers of unfair competition, instructing Customs and Excise to remain on the frontline in protecting the domestic market and ensuring fiscal management and market oversight are conducted cleanly and professionally.
