The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) announced the Governor’s decision appointing Ms Nguyen Thi Thu Thu as Director of the SBV Region 8 Branch, with the appointment decision presented by Deputy Governor Pham Quang Dung at a ceremony at the branch’s headquarters. SBV highlighted Nguyen’s role in stabilising the organisation and executing state management responsibilities as Region 8 was newly established and put into operation, including work to maintain the safety of banking activities in the area. Ha Tinh province’s Standing Vice Chairman Tran Bau Ha supported the appointment and urged further improvements in the effectiveness of state management over currency and banking activities to support local socio-economic development and banking system safety, while Nguyen committed to working with Region 8 leadership and local credit institutions to complete assigned tasks.
