The State Bank of Vietnam held a working meeting with Agricultural Bank of China Limited’s Deputy General Manager Wang Wen Jin to review the activities of the bank’s Hanoi branch and discuss Vietnam–China banking cooperation. The central bank urged the branch to step up its operations and increase credit provision for Vietnam’s key infrastructure projects to support bilateral trade and investment. Deputy Governor Nguyen Ngoc Canh highlighted the role of Chinese bank branches in Vietnam, including Agricultural Bank of China’s Hanoi branch, in facilitating investment and trade between the two countries. Agricultural Bank of China reported on its recent operating performance and future development direction for both the group and the Hanoi branch, and reiterated its commitment to comply with State Bank of Vietnam requirements and Vietnamese law while supporting Chinese enterprises investing in Vietnam. The State Bank of Vietnam also directed banks from both countries, with Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development represented at the meeting, to advance cooperation by leveraging their extensive branch networks and diverse customer bases.
