The Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the Securities and Exchange Commission have jointly extended the compliance date for amendments to Form PF from Oct. 1, 2026, to July 1, 2027. Form PF is the confidential reporting form for certain SEC-registered private fund advisers, including those also registered with the CFTC as commodity pool operators or commodity trading advisers. The extension gives the agencies time to consider comments on their April 2026 proposal to streamline Form PF, which would amend or eliminate some requirements covered by the 2024 amendments. It also allows filers to avoid potentially significant implementation costs for requirements that may subsequently change or be removed.
