The Superintendency of Banks of the Dominican Republic unveiled a plaque recognizing its Santo Domingo headquarters as part of the country’s modern architectural heritage. The authority also outlined completed renovations intended to preserve the building’s original design while improving safety, efficiency, accessibility and compliance with urban requirements. Work at the headquarters included structural reinforcement of the annex to meet seismic standards, modernization of electrical and air-conditioning systems, installation of an upgraded fire protection system and restoration of surrounding public spaces. The broader infrastructure program also covered the Northern Regional Office in Santiago and several departments housed at Unicentro Plaza.
