The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) approved a set of incorporations, licences and activity additions covering investment funds, real estate investment funds, securities promotion and underwriting, and small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) finance. The Company Incorporation and Licensing Committee approved the establishment of Bokra Private Equity Investment Fund Company and Bokra Venture Capital Investment Fund Company, and licensed Bokra Metals Investment Fund Company to conduct investment fund activity. It also approved the establishment of SAFE Real Estate Fund Company, and the establishment of a SAFE company for securities promotion and underwriting and for managing real estate investment funds. Separately, Sahl was licensed to carry out SME project financing, Akt Financial Holding was licensed to conduct investment fund activity on its own or with others, and Sadara Holding was approved to add securities promotion and underwriting to its existing corporate purpose.
