The Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency has made licence applications in insurance and reinsurance distribution available through the START Plus digital platform. From 13 July 2026, applicants can use the system to submit applications for licences covering insurance representation crafts, insurance and reinsurance brokerage crafts, insurance agencies, and insurance and reinsurance brokerage companies. The rollout forms part of Hanfa’s cooperation with Croatia’s Ministry of Economy and the Financial Agency. The platform is built on a once only data-sharing model, under which information already held by public authorities is exchanged between competent institutions rather than re-entered by applicants. That is intended to reduce administrative burden, speed up processing and limit errors in licence submissions.
