The Dubai International Financial Centre Family Wealth Centre launched the Women in Family Leadership and Governance Programme with Hawkamah and the Arab International Women’s Forum. The initiative aims to increase women’s participation in family business governance and their representation on family and corporate boards across the region. The programme will provide specialized education, peer engagement, mentorship and practical governance insights, with a focus on leadership, succession planning and strategic decision making. It was unveiled at a roundtable examining women’s role in leading family enterprises, preparing successors and responding to technological and economic change. The initiative forms part of the centre’s support for family businesses and ultra high net worth individuals on governance, succession and intergenerational wealth preservation. The Dubai International Financial Centre’s family wealth ecosystem includes 1,408 family business related entities, up 36% year on year, and 1,409 foundations, up 67%.
