Ukraine’s National Commission on Securities and Stock Market announced that its chair, Oleksii Semeniuk, met with TheCityUK to strengthen cooperation on areas where international partner expertise can deliver practical results for the development of Ukraine’s capital markets. The meeting with TheCityUK Chief Executive Officer Nicola Watkinson, The City-Ukraine Hub Executive Director Alexander Thomas and senior Ukraine project manager Inna Meteleva also reviewed the Commission’s 2026–2027 priorities, including internal transformation, simplifying rules for business, developing corporate governance, launching a virtual assets market and aligning legislation with European Union norms. The parties agreed to intensify work on developing the municipal bond market, further corporate governance transformation, attracting private investors and exchanging practical EU experience, and confirmed continued cooperation across these tracks.
