The Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission, in partnership with UNICEF, held the first session of a capacity-building series on integrating children’s rights into corporate governance, sustainability and investment decisions. The June 11 session brought together publicly listed companies, large non-listed entities and other businesses to examine how corporate policies, sustainability reporting and human rights due diligence can account for business impacts on children. The training covered child-responsive human rights and environmental due diligence, impact assessments, safeguarding policies and family-friendly workplace practices. Subsequent sessions will address children’s rights in sustainability reporting, climate disclosure, investments and capital markets.
