The Insurance State Supervision Service of Georgia announced that its head, Davit Onoprishvili, is on a working visit to Austria at the invitation of the Austrian Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FMA), with an expanded workshop taking place in Vienna. The March 24–27 workshop is designed to familiarise participants with the Austrian supervisor’s approaches and relevant international best practices, with a focus on insurance-sector reforms, their consequences and current challenges. Topics include on-site inspection practices, methods for submitting and processing supervisory reports, standards for market supervision and review of statements, and trends in legislative regulation.
